Electric bikes were first invented in the 1800s in Europe and have come a long way with technology! According to Wikipedia, an electric bicycle, also known as an e-bike or booster bike, is a bicycle with an integrated electric motor which can be used for propulsion. E-bikes use rechargeable batteries and the lighter varieties (like the Lopifit) can travel up to 16 to 20 mph- the Lopifit bike goes up to 17 mph. Over the years, various patents and prototypes of the electric bike have been created and grown in popularity worldwide. Most e-bikes on the market include a seat and pedals, that’s where the Lopifit (literally) stands apart.
The Lopifit is an electric assist, “walking” bike with a treadmill working to propel the bike. The Lopifit was invented in Europe and has grown with the e-bike trend globally, making its debut as Lopifit US in early 2016 as the exclusive Lopifit distributors for North America. Lopifit US’ interest and sales continue to increase with the industry and product popularity!
The Lopifit bike has many similarities with other e-bikes offering an Eco-friendly alternative to automobiles for commuting with a chargeable lithium ion battery. Without a seat or pedals, the Lopifit is a completely different way of moving – providing relief to riders with knee, back and other health injuries and diseases that prevent traditional bike riding. The positive feedback from Lopifit riders, dealers and medical industry is exciting for the product and future therapeutic endeavors.
